A Legacy of Innovation and Expertise
Founded by Jim Bolinger in 1978, Westwind Coachworks boasts a rich history rooted in the limousine industry. From humble beginnings with a single limousine in Ohio, Bolinger's entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment of Westwind Limousine, which grew to become the largest limousine company in Ohio by 1998. In 1996, Bolinger ventured into limousine manufacturing with partner Bob Murgel, launching Westwind Coachworks in Springfield, Missouri.

As consumer demand for limousines expanded nationwide, Westwind Coachworks experienced steady growth, building a reputation for excellence in crafting Lincoln Town Car, H2 Hummer, and Ford Excursion limousines. However, with the discontinuation of these models in 2011, Bolinger recognized the opportunity presented by the Mercedes Sprinter van.

Becoming a Mercedes Master Upfitter, Westwind Coachworks shifted its focus to building Sprinter limousines, mobile offices, executive shuttles, and more. Today, with a manufacturing plant located in Sarasota, Florida, Westwind Coachworks continues to uphold its legacy of innovation and expertise, with Bolinger and his team boasting a combined experience of over 200 years.

A Pioneer in Custom Sprinter Conversions
With over 10,000 vehicles built over a 45-year career, Jim Bolinger has emerged as one of the most iconic figures in the industry. Westwind Coachworks remains committed to delivering unparalleled craftsmanship, innovation, and personalized service, ensuring that each custom Sprinter conversion is a testament to quality and excellence.

From its humble beginnings in Ohio to its current status as a leader in Sprinter conversions, Westwind Coachworks continues to push the boundaries of design and functionality, providing customers with unmatched luxury and convenience on the road.
